Terms of Service
The short version
- Social is a tool. You're responsible for your accounts, what you post, and following each platform's rules.
- Only connect accounts and phone numbers you own or are allowed to manage.
- Services you connect (your posting workspace, SMS provider, AI accounts) have their own terms, and those apply too.
- The app is provided as is, and our liability is limited.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Jirazo Labs, a company registered in Wyoming, USA ("we", "us"), covering the Social app for macOS ("Social" or "the app") and this website. By installing or using Social you agree to them. If you use Social on behalf of a company or client, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for them.
2. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Social on Macs you own or control, for managing social media accounts you're entitled to manage. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows. Jirazo Labs keeps all rights in the app, its design and its name.
Social is currently offered by invitation, without charge. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price before you're asked to pay, and these terms will be updated.
3. Your accounts and content
- You own what you post. Social doesn't claim any rights to your captions, photos, videos or account data.
- You're responsible for everything published from your accounts through Social, including posts you schedule, posts the assistant drafts and you approve, and the accuracy of what they say.
- You're responsible for keeping your Mac, Keychain, API keys and logins secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked Mac can use the accounts connected to Social.
- Make sure you have the rights to any music, images, video or other material you post, and that you label AI-generated or sponsored content where a platform or law requires it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Social to:
- break the terms, community guidelines or automation rules of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Facebook or any other platform;
- send spam, run fake engagement, buy or sell accounts, or impersonate a person or business;
- access accounts, phone numbers or messages you don't own or aren't authorized to manage;
- post content that's illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative or deceptive;
- get around a platform's limits, bans, verification or security measures;
- interfere with the app, the services it connects to, or other people's use of them.
Platforms decide for themselves how to treat activity on their services. We aren't responsible if a platform limits, suspends or removes an account or post.
5. Phone numbers and SMS
The Phone feature reads text messages on numbers you connect. You must own each number or have the account holder's permission, and you're responsible for following your SMS provider's terms. Social does not send text messages, and Jirazo Labs does not send SMS to you or anyone else. Message delivery depends on your provider and the carriers, and we can't guarantee that a message will arrive or arrive on time.
6. The assistant
The assistant uses AI models through your own Claude account (and, for images, your own ChatGPT account), under those providers' terms. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Check drafts, numbers and generated images before you rely on them or post them. Actions that publish, delete or retry posts, or that like, comment, follow or message through the Browser page, ask for your approval first. Once you approve an action, you're responsible for it.
7. Third-party services
Social works by connecting to services run by other companies, including your posting workspace (Zernio), your SMS provider, social networks, Anthropic and OpenAI. Your use of each is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and any fees they charge are between you and them. We don't control these services, and if one changes, limits or shuts down its API, parts of Social may stop working.
8. Changes to the app
We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Social. If we discontinue the app, we'll give reasonable notice where we can. Your data stays on your Mac and with the services you connected, so you won't lose access to it.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Social at any time by deleting the app and its data, as described in the privacy policy. We may revoke your license if you break these terms, particularly the acceptable use rules.
10. Disclaimers
Social is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, that posts will publish at an exact time, or that analytics from third-party services are accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Jirazo Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, followers or goodwill, arising from your use of Social. Our total liability for any claim relating to Social is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against Jirazo Labs because of content you posted, accounts you managed, or your breach of these terms or a platform's rules, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll give notice on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Social after that means you accept the new terms.
14. General
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Social.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to Social or these terms will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If you live somewhere whose consumer protection laws give you rights that can't be waived, nothing here takes those rights away.
